Giannina Gutierrez is a multimedia artist born in Barranquilla, Colombia, raised in Jamaica, Queens NY and currently based in East Harlem. She studied at the Art Students League and majored in Fine Art at Pratt Institute. She is an exhibiting artist, muralist and teaching artist, working over 15 years professionally with galleries, schools and public agencies. Her work expresses her personal journey and observations of the world around her, considering themes of growth, humanity, resilience and universal harmony. As a muralist & teaching artist, Giannina truly enjoys working with and co-creating with the public and communities to promote expression, inclusion, individuality, and sustainability. Her work has been featured in several galleries, public art projects, publications throughout NYC, LA, Miami, Chicago, & Puerto Rico. Presently, she is an active muralist, teaching artist in schools and senior centers while also developing mixed media works in painting, drawing & sculpting.
